Today on The View, guest host Vanessa Williams made the point about Sandra Bullock winning the Oscar is yet another story of the white savior coming in and saving the poor, helpless negro.
She’s right by the way.
However, Walters felt that she believes we are past the issue where a Black person getting assistance from a white person being depicted in a film is problematic or potentially representative of the race.
This is because her old geriatric ass is suffering from dementia. Barbara, yes, there is a repetition of white savior movies in Hollywood! Yall always wanna depict yallselves as saving the poor helpless, Black folks who can’t help themselves. That’s some real shit.
